Hypospadias is popularly known as 'prophet circumcision'. It is a condition that requires surgical intervention in boys born half circumcised. It is characterised by the absence of the urination hole where it should be and the curvature of the penis. It is seen in every 200-300 male newborns. So it is more common than thought. Although the cause is not known exactly, it is related to genetic, hormonal and environmental factors. Seventy per cent of the cases are mild cases. In mild cases, curvature of the penis and correction of the urination hole can be solved in a single operation with circumcision, while in severe cases, correction may be required in several operations.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ideal age of surgery is between 6-18 months. Children with hypospadias should never be circumcised without correction. Because the foreskin can be used to correct the penis during hypospadias surgery.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hypospadias surgery aims for a near-normal appearance, normal urination and normal sexual intercourse in advanced age periods.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is very important to choose the right plan and the right surgical methods in hypospadias surgeries. Otherwise, the problems that may be experienced after repeated surgeries will appear exponentially and reduce our success rate.<\/span><\/p>\n

The success of the operation depends on the surgeon's experience in hypospadias and the number of hypospadias operations performed annually. As in every surgery, undesirable results can be obtained in surgeries performed in competent hands, even if the percentage is low.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>
